Maker Journal – Week 4

This week was where I felt like things ramped up in Scratch. The procedures allowed me to “chunk” the programming, which I found beneficial. I liked being able to focus on one part at a time before moving on, and then call back to the procedure in the code. I also enjoyed learning about the “Broadcast” feature in Scratch. I have never used that before, but can see it being extremely helpful in sequencing things and the programs become more advanced. Overall, this week really felt like a significant step forward in the complexity of the programming.
